Basketball If you are joining our Arbiter group to receive basketball assignments, even if you are already on the Arbiter with another assigner(s) or group(s), you will need to note the following: 1) If you are going to be working high school basketball for any assigners in our system, you need to be licensed in basketball by the Illinois High School Association. If you have not yet gotten your IHSA license, there's no point in following these instructions any further. Get that taken care of, then come back to this page. Once you are licensed in basketball by the IHSA, you can go on to Step 2. (Be sure to use the same email address for the Arbiter that you have on file with the IHSA.) (If you are working college basketball ONLY, and if you have been told to register by either Harry Bohn or Wes Fritz, you can go right on to step 2.) 2) You need to Register on the Arbiter and pay the Annual Arbiter Access Fee. To do that, you will need the following: a) your IHSA license number and current Rating (X, R, C), if applicable.
b) a "head and shoulders" photo of yourself on your computer,
ready to upload. Save the pictures of your kids,
c) a credit card to pay the Annual Arbiter Access Fee of $5.75, or your
checking account tracking and account 3) Now you are ready to go to the ARBITER and register to work basketball for the Chicagoland Basketball Assigners Coalition. REGISTER AND PAY ARBITER ACCESS FEE FOR BASKETBALL Good Luck! Coalition

If I am registered with another
ARBITER account for college or another level assigner, do I still have to
pay this fee? The Arbiter charges per official per account. That is why officials pay a fee for football and another fee for basketball, because they are separate accounts with separate Arbiter numbers. It is also possible that you pay an Arbiter fee to another assigner that uses the Arbiter. You would still have to pay us a separate fee as we still get charged for you by the Arbiter. Is this just the first step? and will fees go
up in the future? What if my local association wants to pay my fees for
me?
